Professional Hockey Player. For eleven seasons (1981 to 1992), he played at the right-wing position in the National Hockey League with the Philadelphia Flyers, Minnesota North Stars and Los Angeles Kings. After five-years of playing in his native Finland, he was signed as a free agent by Philadelphia and made his NHL debut during the 1981-1982 season. He played in 66 games that year and scored 15 goals, with 22 assists. During his years with the Flyers, he established himself as a scoring threat, as he topped the 20-goal mark six-times, for which included scoring 36 goals during the 1984-1985 season and a career-high 39 goals during the 1985-1986 season. He was a contributor to the Flyers' reaching of the Stanley Cup Finals in 1985 and 1987. Following stints with the North Stars and Kings, he returned to Finland and concluded his playing career in 1996. In 582 career NHL regular season games, he compiled 204 goals, with 222 assists. He went on to serve as a general manager in Finland, prior to returning to the Philadelphia Flyers' organization as a scout in 2004. He remained at that capacity until his death.
