THE BLOOMFIELD NEWS, Bloomfield, Greene County, Indiana, Thursday, February 1, 1951, Volume LXXVI, Number 15, Page 1, Column 2, Services Are Held For Frank Hunter-Lingering Illness Takes Life of Local Resident.

Frank HUNTER, 84 years old, passed away at his home on Bloomfield Route 4, at 4:20 a.m. Tuesday, after a lingering illness.

Mr. HUNTER was born March 19, 1866, in Highland Township, the son of William and Emily (BUCKNER) HUNTER. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Solsberry.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Sarah HUNTER, five daughters, Mrs. J. A. SPARKS, of Lyons; Mrs. Dorman RIVERS, of Bloomfield route; Mrs. Tilman CRITES, of Calvertville; Mrs. Ray CHRISTENBERRY, of Scotland, and Mrs. Robert SULLIVAN, of Bloomfield R. 1; five sons, Dustin, Delbert and Dexter, all of Bloomington; Dalley, of Walton, and Douglas, of Detroit, Michigan; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also a brother, Winfred HUNTER, of Calvertville, and two sisters, Mrs. Evan COX, of Bloomfield R. 1, and Mrs. Mollie BARGE, of Bloomfield, R 4.

Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at one o'clock at the Tulip Church of God, and burial was in Tulip Cemetery. The Solsberry Masonic Lodge had charge of the graveside rights.

Jenkins & Sons, of Bloomfield, had charge of arrangements.
