Actress. She debuted on stage at age of 14 and became a leading figure of Spanish Theatre. Along with her husband, actor Antonio Vico, Concha Catalá, and Manuel González, she created the stock company "Los Cuatro Ases." Her career spanned more than 50 years and she starred in such plays as "Mariana Pineda," "Pigmalión," "Los Palomos," "Los Caciques," "Gigí," "Harold y Maude," "La Casa de Bernarda Alba" and "Otra Fedra, Si Gustáis." Also she worked for the cinema and television, appearing in "La Madona de las Rosas" (1919), "Fortunato" (1941), "Marcelino, Pan y Vino" (1955), "El Secreto Inconfesable de un Chico Bien" (1975), "El Okapi" (1975) and "Nacional III" (1982). Carbonell twice received the National Stage Award, in 1950 and 1980. Her son was the actor Jorge Vico.
