Mrs. John H. Garretson Sr.
MARSHFIELD - Mrs. Elizabeth (Curtis) Garretson, 77, of 202 Moraine St., died yesterday at the Deering Nursing Home after a brief illness.
Born in Portland, Maine, she was a former resident of Hingham, and had lived in Marshfield for 17 years.
She was past president of the Hingham Woman's Club, a member of the Mayflower Society of Plymouth and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Wife of the late John H. Garretson, Sr., she is survived by a son, John H. Garretson Jr. of Marshfield; two daughters, Miss Elizabeth Ann Garretson of Florida, and Mrs. Robert Hunter of Lexington; a sister, Mrs. Leona C. James of Maine; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 1 p.m. at the Robert J. MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Marshfield. The Rev. Vaughn Shedd, pastor of the First Congregational Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
