Daughter of Lt Gen Sir Henry Havelock-Allan, VC, 1st Baronet, and Lady Alice Reynolds-Moreton.
She married Joseph Albert Pease, 1st Baron Gainford, son of Sir Joseph Whitwell Pease, 1st Bt. and Mary Fox, on 18 October 1886.
She was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.)
After her marriage, Ethel Havelock-Allan was styled as Baroness Gainford on 3 January 1917.
