BRISTOL - Roger Gibson, 67, of 82 Bingham St., Forestville, beloved husband of Clairma (Nadeau) Gibson, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006 at Bristol Hospital. He was born Dec. 26, 1938 in New Brunswick, Canada, son of the late James and Jeanne (Milliard) Gibson. A resident of Forestville most of his life, he was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Gibson was employed at Pratt & Whitney in Southington for 32 years until his retirement in 1998. He was a member of St. Matthew Church in Forestville. Besides his wife, Clairma, he is survived by two daughters, Lisa Hackerman and her husband, Matthew, of Cheshire and Amy Gibson of Stafford Springs; two granddaughters, Melissa and Emily Hacker-man; seven sisters, Stella Forehand and her husband, Donald of Jupiter, Fla., Ruth Thibeault and her husband, Edward, of Fort Kent, Maine, Marilyn Mason of Plainville, Margot Jacumin of South Carolina, Albertine Hewitt and her husband, David, of New Sweden, Maine, Laura Cote and her husband, Daniel, of Biddeford, Maine and Betty Marlowe and her husband, Richard, of Bath, Maine; seven brothers, Ray Gibson and his wife, Jeannette, of Bristol, Ken Gibson and his wife, Lina, of Hamlin, Maine, Albert Gibson of Dallas, Texas, Lawrence Gibson of Van Buren, Maine, Ronald Gibson of Van Buren, Maine, Reynold Gibson of Plantsville and Gregory Gibson and his wife, Sandra of Cumberland, Maine; a sister-in-law, Edith Gibson of Bristol; a brother-in-law, Joe Ollar of Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Verna Ollar, and a brother, James Gibson. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 9 a.m., from O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville, to St. Mat-thew Church, Forestville, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Connecticut, 2139 Silas Deane Highway, Rocky Hill, CT 06067 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
