1841 ~ July 1, 1913
Ferdinand Ziebell, an old resident whose home was on Seventeenth Street, passed away late yesterday afternoon at the age of seventy-two. He had been in failing health for over a year. He was born in Germany in 1841, but resided in Oshkosh ever since coming to this country in 1868. Mr. Ziebell served in the Germany army in the war between Austria and Prussia in 1866.
Those who survive are the widow, four sons, two daughters, and one brother, August, all of this place. The sons are August, Julius, Otto and Charles Ziebell, and the daughters are Mrs. Ida Tank and Mrs. Minnie Sager. There are twenty-four grandchildren.
The funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon with services at the residence 648 Seventeenth Street at 1:30 o'clock, and at the Eighth Street Lutheran Church at 2 o'clock.
*Ferdinand is the son of John Ziebell and Henriette (Hoensbroech) Ziebell. He died of heart-related conditions.
