Bernice "Neice" Cantrell, 39, of Beech Creek, passed away suddenly Sat., May 3, 2014, at Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born April 28, 1975, in Williamson, she was a daughter of Bernard and Delana Dotson Cantrell of Wharncliffe.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Tammy Lynn Cantrell; a niece, Brittany Cantrell; her paternal grandparents, Bangor and Ethel Gibson Cantrell, and her maternal grandfather, Emmer Dotson.

Bernice was a homemaker and was of the Church of God faith.

Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her companion of 22 years, Ernie Kennedy of

Beech Creek; one sister, Amy Cantrell of Wharncliffe; five brothers, George (Pam) Cantrell of Varney, Bangor (Louise) Cantrell and Matt (Beth) Cantrell, both of Wharncliffe, Brian Cantrell of Taylorville, and Jeffery (Judith) Dotson of Gilbert Creek; her maternal grandmother, Goldie Dotson of Delbarton; a very special nephew and niece, Josh and Brooke Cantrell; nephews, Cody, Bryan, Hunter, and Bryson Cantrell, Justin Brewer, Tyler Dixon, Brandon Dotson, and Doug and Eric Kennedy; nieces, Jessica, Cassara, Caitlin, and Alyssa Cantrell, Casandra Champagne, Tori Dotson, and Brandy Fajardo; great-nieces, Shelysa Fajardo, and Kerston and Mallory Kennedy; great-nephews, Cameron Johnson, Jordan Holyfield, Jaxon and Bentley Cantrell, Conner and Brayden Champagne, Dylan and Noah Fajardo and one on the way. Also surviving is a dear brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rush Kennedy and Joyce Kennedy, and a host of other family and friends.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thurs., May 8, at Beech Creek Free Pentecostal Church of God at Beech Creek with Pastor David Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in Cantrell Cemetery at Wharncliffe with George, Bangor, Matt and Brian Cantrell, Jeffery Dotson, Billy Trent, Ryan Holyfield, Josh Cantrell, Doug Kennedy, Eric Kennedy, Rush Kennedy and James Kennedy serving as pallbearers.
