Annette was my Grandma, she died at the age of 85, at the Lake Shore Nursing Home in Chicago, Illinois. She died of Congestive Heart Failure and had Arteriosclerotic Heart Disease and Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease. She was the second and last wife to my Grandpa Sam. He died 6 years prior at the age of 82, from congestive heart failure. She was the daughter of Hannah (Hyman) Joseph and Israel Joseph. She never had her own children, never had to work, and didn't drive. Sam and his first wife, Minnie Davis, adopted my dad as a baby out of a Jewish Orphanage in Indianapolis, when they were living in Detroit at the time. They were all Jewish, though didn't raise my dad Jewish, let him choose his own religeon, as long as he went to Church. He chose Christian Science, but converted to Baptist as an adult. Sam and Minnie divorced when my dad was 8. Minnie Married George Eales. Sam married Annette. Annette was a good cook and real nice, but not very talkative. Sam waited on her hand and foot, and did most the cooking and chores. She was a spotless housekeeper, but he was a perfectionist, even helped her dust and do dishes. They shared a small, but nice, apartment together in an upscale neighborhood, both well off. One thing I remember most about her, she was quiet, soft-spoken, never interferred or had an opinion about anything, whether personal, family, politics, crime, or religeon. Never voiced any fears or concerns. I don't even know what she liked or didn't like. Her beloved Sam died in 1970. Her and Sam were buried together at the Hebrew Workers Cemetery in Forest Park, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.
