Benton F. Love of Hopewell community, northwest of Paris, died about 9:20 p.m. Friday at Lamar Hospital where he had been taken seriously ill, last Sunday.
He was born and reared on the old home place, where his mother, affectionately known at Uncle Ben, moved about 1877. He had spent most of his life in Lamar county, engaging in farming, stock raising and cotton buying, and had served as a public cotton weigher also.
The funeral service at 1 p.m. __nday at Manton-Fry Funeral Home will be conducted by the Rev. Charles S. Dickey of Central Presbyterian Church and interment will be made in Evergreen Cemetery.
Six nephews of Mr. Love to be Pallbearers.
He leaves his wife and on son Benton Love, Jr., a brother, Frank Love of Wichita Falls, and these sisters, Mrs. Sallie L. Peele, Ft. Worth; Mrs. G. D. Scott, Yowell; Mrs. M. G. Neathery, Vernon, Mrs. _- G. Scruggs, Norman, OK., and Miss Carrie Love, Ardmore.
