He came to Hoffman in the fall of 1912 and on Dec. 18th of the same year was married to Emeline Sethney, who survives him. After their marriage, Mr. Nordgaard purchased and operated the bride's home farm for a period of 13 years, then sold this farm and moved to Hoffman where they lived for 18 years. In 1943, the Nordgaards sold their home at Hoffman and took up their residence at Alexandria. On Oct. 2, 1946, they entered the Bethany home in Alexandria and have lived there since.
The Nordgaards were members of the Lincoln Lutheran congregation until some years after they moved to Hoffman, when they found it more convenient to affiliate with the Zion Lutheran congregation there.
