U.S. Veteran Frederick A. Rinehart, 57, of Chillicothe, died at 10:45pm, February 16, 2015, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born November 21, 1957, in Chillicothe, to the late Bernard F. and Marjorie L. (Manion) Rinehart.
He is survived by his children: Forrest A. Rinehart; Nathan J. (Courtney) Rinehart; Cheyenne B. (Neva) Rinehart; Dakota G. (Rayanna) Rinehart, all of Chillicothe; and Nikki Rinehart, of Hilliard; grandchildren: Daylin, Stryker, Dustin, Amelia, Makya, Annabelle, Quinton and James Rinehart; Elijah Shanks; and Braden Taylor; brothers Mike (Tara) Rinehart, Brookeville; and Bill Rinehart and his companion Karen Penwell, Chillicothe; a sister Cindy (Chris) Roe, of Ray, OH; his step-mother Shirley Rinehart, Washington CH; a half-sister Vicki (Emmitt) Hempstead, of Chillicothe; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his nephew Dustin Rinehart.
Fred was a graduate of Chillicothe High School. He served his country in the US Army and was a member of the VFW, Post 108, American Legion, Post 62, and AMVETS, Post 4.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Tuesday at Haller Funeral Home. Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard, will follow in Boblett Cemetery. Friends may call from 11am until 1pm Tuesday at Haller Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Veterans In Transition Inc. (VITI), formerly Southern Ohio Homeless Veterans, 267 Rozelle Creek Rd., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
