William is the son of John and Mary Mason of Bethel Township.
His brothers and sisters included; Rhoda Hart, Jane Blair, Phoebe Minny, Mrs. Isaac Oakes and Mary Robison.
Preacher Tophar Raskos mentions staying with William and Sarah in 1837 during his travels, when he came to preach at Tonoloway.
June 1848 William Mason was on the 'visiting the missing' committee for the church. and in 1864 he was a 'Messenger to the Association'.
William and Sarah's children are Abner; Solomon Mason, Esq.; Rachel, wife of Ephraim Covalt; Elizabeth Rhoda, wife of Simon Stahl of Rochester, Indiana; Sarah, who died in 1850 at age 18; John; and Ezra Mason.
