Motorcycle Racer. Allan David Jefferies was born in Shipley, West Yorkshire, into a family of motorcycle racers. He won six races on the infamous Isle of Man TT road circuit and in 2002 broke the outright lap record at 127.29mph which has yet to be broken three years later. In 2003, on the second practice lap on the Isle of Man, he crashed his Suzuki at very high speed on oil left by a previous rider, and was killed outright. At 6'2" and 196 lbs, he was a big man as far as motorcycle racers go, and was an extremely popular rider.
He was buried at Charlestown Cemetery, Baildon, near Bradford, West Yorkshire.
