Funeral service for Mildred L. Ardoin Rucker, 73, will be held at 11AM Monday, April 21, 2014 in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Pastor Elmore Garner will officiate.
Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Fondel Memorial Chapel. Visitations will be Sunday, April 20, 2014 from 5PM-8PM in Fondel Chapel and Monday from 9AM in the church until the time of the funeral.
Mrs. Rucker died on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 12:43PM in her residence.
She was born to the late Alphonse and Marscline Ardoin on July 30, 1940 in Duralde, La. She was married to the late, Ellis Guillory and to this union four children were born. She worked as an OB Tech at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for 26 years and Seton Hospital in Austin, Tx. for 6 years. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where she served as a greeter.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband; one son; two daughters; adopted daughter; sisters; brothers and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by son, Cedric Guillory; grandson, David Lee Guillory; parents; sisters, Hazel Guillory and Florence Thomas; and brother, Gustave Ardoin.
