Reginald met and married Annie Morrison in 1916 whilst serving as an army officer in India. In 1917, he was sent on a job where his wife could not go with him. While he was away, Annie had an affair with another British Army Officer. She asked for a divorce from Reginald, which was granted in 1918. He returned to Dartford and in 1921 married Edith Mary Blackburn, a student at a local college. They had a son, Sidney Arthur Kilworth Keyes (1922-43), who later became a notable poet and died in Tunisia during the Second World War (see FAG memorial 8886511). Edith died a few weeks after her son was born. Reginald married again in 1931, to Violet Alice Waters. He suffered from TB, from which he died in 1940. His father, Sidney Kilworth Keyes is buried in the adjacent grave.
