In June 2013 Old Boy was found chained to a tree behind a house in Riverdale Georgia. The people that had lived there had moved away and left him behind three weeks before.
Old Boy was left with nothing to eat and only a poodle of dirty water on the ground to drink.
Caring people arranged for Old Boy to be delivered to Maysville Georgia where he comes to live with Jerry Rice.
The plan was to nurse him back to health and then find him a good home. That did not work out.
After he was given a medical by a veterinarian it was found that Old Boy had heart worms and that he was not going to make it. The veterinarian gave him just months to live. All that could be done for him was to make him as happy as he could be for the time he had left.
For the next nine months Old Boy was the side kick of Jerry Rice spending almost every hour of the day at his side. Old Boy become the model of 'Man's best friend with his only demand being a little love and attention.
On the morning of March 17 2014 at about 07:30 A.M. Old Boy went across the rain bow bridge to wait for his friend Jerry to follow after him.
