Born in Ireland about 1831, Laurence / Lawrence, arrived in the U.S. in 1852. He enlisted in Louisville, KY Oct. 30, 1863. He was discharged on August 23,1865. In 1866, he married Bridget Laffey / Lafferty in Louisville, KY. They had at least two sons. He died May 24, 1910 in the U.S. National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers in Dayton, Ohio at age 79. He was buried in St. Louis Cemetery in Louisville on May 27, 1910.
