Mrs. Rachel Stuart
Mrs. Rachel Stuart, aged 65, of 3025 Fifth street west, died at her home on Saturday following a lengthy illness.
Born in Embro, Ontario, Mrs. Stuart came west to Calgary in 1898 and had lived here ever since.
Surviving are two sons, Harold and Douglas; one daughter, Mrs. Baden Powell; one sister, Mrs. M. Gainor, all of Calgary; four brothers, Rod McKay, Vancouver; Robert J. and Angus, both of Calgary, and John of Lomond.
Her husband, the late T.R. Stuart, pioneer Calgary hardware merchant, died in 1927.
Mrs. Stuart was a member of the Grace Presbyterian church and the Women's Missionary Society of the church.
Rev. Alfred Bright will conduct funeral services on Tuesday at 2 o'clock at Leyden's chapel Burial will be in the family plot, Union cemetery.
