Son of Frederick Peters K.C., and Bertha Hamilton (née Gray) Peters of Nelson, British Columbia, Canada; brother of Captain Frederick Thornton PETERS VC, who served with the Royal Navy during the Second World War and died on November 13, 1942; brother of Private John Franklyn PETERS, who also served-he died in action 24 April 1915 and is remembered with honour at Belgium's Menin Gate Memorial.


Lieutenant Gerald Hamilton Peters is commemorated on Page 147 of Canada's First World War Book of Remembrance.

He is also commemorated by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
