Chico Record, Thursday, February 23, 1911, pg 5 col 3: Pioneer Resident Dead. Jerome Moore died yesterday morning at the age of 67 years. He was born in Adair county, Missouri, May 12, 1844, and came to California in 1852. He was the father of Leroy Moore, Martha Couturier, Burnham Moore and Virginia Moore. The funeral will be held Friday at 2 o’clock from the Fetters & Williams mortuary chapel.

Chico Record, Saturday, February 24, 1911, pg 4 col 5: Moore Funeral This Afternoon. The funeral of Jerome Moore, who died Wednesday morning, will be held this afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Fetters & Williams mortuary chapel. Rev. Forney of the Dunkard church will officiate, and interment will take place in the Chico cemetery.

The deceased is survived by two sons and two daughters and six sisters and two brothers. The sisters are, Mrs. M.E. Lauden, San Francisco; Mrs. W.S. Jack and Mrs. M.C. Lambert, Santa Cruz; Mrs. Julia Anderson, Green River, Utah; Mrs. C.C. Perkins, Petaluma; Mrs. Amelia Gabriel, Chicago. The brothers are T.J. Moore, Chico, and Worthington Moore, Walla Walla, Washington.
