Professional Hockey Player. A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Albright played the position of Center for teams in the NHL, USHL, MJHL, M-Cup, Al-Cup, WSRHL, MHL-Sr., and the WIHL hockey leagues. At 6'02, and 180lbs, Albright played for the Winnipeg Monarchs from 1944 to 1946, 1949 to 1950, University of Manitoba from 1946 to 1947, Winnipeg Flyers from 1946 to 1948, New York Rangers from 1948 to 1949, St. Paul Saints from 1950 to 1951, and the Trail Smoke Eaters from 1953 to 1954. After playing hockey he returned to Winnipeg, Manitoba, to finish his engineering degree. Albright became an engineer at Cominco in Trail, British Columbia, Kimberly, British Columbia, and in Calgary, Alberta, for over 34 years. Albright was a Member of the Engineering Institute of Canada, and the Association of Professional Engineers of British Columbia. Albright passed away in his native Winnipeg, Manitoba, on December 30, 1999, at the age of 73.
