WILLIAM T. M. FORBES was born at Westborough, Mass., on April 23, 1885. He attended the primary and high schools of Westborough and Worcester, and entered Amherst College in the fall of 1902, receiving the degree of A.B. in 1906, taking prizes in Human Anatomy, Mathematics and Physics during his undergraduate course. From 1906 to 1908 he was instructor of Biology at Robert College, Constantinople, and acted as Natualist with the Cornell Expedition to Asia Minor during the summer of 1907. Dr. Forbes was a graduate student at Cornell University from 1908-09, at Wood's Hole Marine Biological Laboratory, 1909, and at Harvard and Clark Universities during 1909-1910, receiving the degree of Ph.D. from latter in the year. He was appointed last dummer Instructor in Biology at Rutgers. Dr. Forbes is a member of the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, Phi Beta Kappa, American Association for the Advancement of Science, American Breeders' Association, Cambridge Entomological Society. He is the author of Field Tables of Lepidoptera (1906), and has contributed to various scientific publications.
