Beatrice Dvorak 84 of Chelsea died Wednesday at the Belle Plaine Nursing & Rehab Center, Belle Plaine, Iowa. Burial in the St Joseph's Cemetery at Chelsea, Iowa.

Beatrice Agnes Musel was the daughter of Fred and Anna Vavroch Musel. She was a 1946 graduate of the Chelsea High School .

On January 20, 1948 she was united in marriage to Donald William Dvorak at the St Joseph's Catholic Church. To this union were born five children; one daughter Shirley and four sons: James, Joseph, Jerry and Thomas.

Beaty worked several years as a cook and a teachers aid for the South Tama County Schools. She was a member of St Joseph's Catholic Church, the Alter & Rosary Society, Foresters and the American Legion Auxiliary . Beaty also served as a Chelsea City Council member and later volunteered at the Marshalltown Veterans Home as well as South Tama County Schools.

She enjoyed any opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren, quilting, sewing, gardening and reading a good book. Beaty will be remembered for making delicious kolaches and holiday meals.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald Dvorak; two brothers: Bernie and Don Musel and a brother-in-law, James Ledvina.
