Donald "Duck" Cox of Wise Road, Campbellsville, son of the late A. A. Cox and Virgie Mae Abell Cox was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, October 11, 1942. He died at 6:35 A.M., Thursday, September 4, 2003 in Campbellsville. Age: 60 He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served his country in the United States Army. He was retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
He united in marriage to Marie Wade Dudgeon September 7, 1984. Besides his wife, Marie Cox of Wise Road, Campbellsville he is survived by two daughters: Donna Dudgeon of Louisville and Stephanie Penick of Tompkinsville, Kentucky; two brothers and four sisters: Jerry Cox, George Cox, Ora Mae Druien, Faye Beard, Helen McVay and Margaret Cox of Campbellsville; two aunts and one uncle: Gusta Garrett, Vernice Parrish, and Coy Cox of Campbellsville; several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister: Samuel Lee Cox, Leslie Cox, John Henry Cox, Billy Ray Cox and Lois Cox.
FUNERAL SERVICES: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 6th at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Rev. Gene Hall. BURIAL:Mt. Zion Cemetery with full Military Honors By Marion County Veterans Honor Guard. PALLBEARERS: Henry Ford, Kermit Greer, Hershel Moore, Roger Moore, Romey Reynolds, Donnie Seaborne.
