Wheeler Family Cemetery
Littleton, Grafton County, New Hampshire, USA
At Littleton's annual town meeting in March 1790 the Selectmen were directed to select suitable burying grounds for the town.
Rankin's Mills (Pattenville), North Littleton (Carpenter), & Ammonoosuc Meadows (Walmart) were thus created.
"On the road leading from North Littleton to the village [of Littleton] is a small burial-place known as the Wheeler graveyard, taking its name from the neighborhood in which it is located. In it are several generations of the Wheelers, to the 4th generation. Other than the Wheelers and the descendants of their daughters, very few are buried here."

- Total known graves: 127
- The earliest gravestone here is that of Sally (Miller) Wheeler who d. Nov 27 1821, having been born Oct 22 1745;
- the earliest birth is her husband, Silas, who d. July 14 1823 in the 79th year of his age (b. between July 1744 & July 1745);
- the oldest person buried here was Ruth (Hale) Goddard, mother of Annette (Goddard) Hale; d. Litt Nov 13 1872 AE 100y 6m. It is unknown if the footstone labeled "RUTH" on the Hale lot marks her grave or someone else's; Ruth's is the only footstone on that lot not represented on the monument.

The Wheeler Cemetery now has the unique distinction of hosting the remains of the Pattenville Cemetery which was moved to adjoin the north fenceline in Oct 1955 so its previous location could be flooded by the waters behind the Moore Hydroelectric Dam then being constructed. New burials are taking place around that area, and, as the three cemeteries are coming to be known under the single name, "Wheeler Hill Cemetery", Wheeler Cemetery memorials are to be found under that name, with the plot prefix "W+".
