A veteran of the Cival War, Company G, 20th Ohio Infantry, Richard was born in *Hunts Station, a small town located right on the junctions of most northeast corner of Miller Twp. and most southwest corner of Pleasant Twp, Knox Co., Ohio, son of Christian & Esther Mullen Stinemates. "R. H. Stinemates & Mattie French" married in Knox Co., Ohio on the 15th of July, 1875. I have found no records of any children from this union, so far. TJD2013

* Hunts Station, post office set up soon after 1851 at the railroad station settlement in the southwest corner of Pleasant township, Knox Co. Ohio. Find-a-Grave has no selection available for this town.
