- CHESTER - Charles William Thomas, 85, of Chester passed away at his home on April 4, 2011.
- He was born in Lando to Charles and Emma Kee Thomas. Mr. Thomas was the husband of Wilma Corder Thomas. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Korean War. He was a member of Lando Baptist Church and retired from Springs Industries.
- He is also survived by a special niece, Cynthia Fleming of Chester; a brother, James L. Thomas of Rock Hill; sister, Shirley Dawkins of Richburg. He was predeceased by brothers and sisters, "Buddy" Fred H. Thomas; Donald R. Thomas; Betty J. Ramsey and Helen T. Dixon.
- Visitation for Mr. Thomas will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pollard Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 2:30 p.m., at Chester Memorial Gardens and be conducted by the Rev. Curtis Marshall.
