Born in Heidelberg Twp., Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, Owen takes his family to Salibury, Wicomico, Maryland sometime before 1880 and opens the Salisbury Baking Company (AKA Sweetheart Bakery). He retires after 20 plus years and transfers ownership to his sons Clinton and Samuel. His wife, Rosa, passes in 1923. He is seen operating a chicken farm in 1920 and as the owner of a rooming house in the Memorial Building in 1930. No evidence he ever remarried, Owen passes in 1939.
