Mrs Frank Hollenbaugh
This community was saddened and shocked last Friday as news of the death of Mrs. Frank Hollenbaugh became known, as not many knew of her serious illness which caused her removal to Findlay hospital for observation, death resulted two days later.
Born July 10, 1873, near Dupont, Putnam county, Ohio, Minnie Letchia Bushey, was one of a family of ten children born to Elizabeth, nee Aulabaugh and Josiah Griffith Bushey, pioneer settlers whose ancestors can easily be traced back to the early 1700's when they migrated to America and settled in Pennsylvania. This ancestral strain participated in all the principal wars in the formation and perpetuating the United States.
The early life of the deceased was spent in Latty, Ohio, where she met and married Allen Thurman Bashore, to which union was born nine children who survive their mother, and are: Major Wilbur E. Bashore, Louisville, Ky; Cassius W. Bashore, Indianapolis; Allen G. Bashore, Columbia, S.C.; Emma L. Bashore, South Bend; Anna C. Agnes, Fostoria; Eugene H. Bashore, Washington, D.C.; Richard Newton Bashore, West Millgrove; Mrs. Frances Berry, Holgate; Florence I. Bashore, South Bend. Also two sisters, Emma Jane Raabe of Lima and Eliza May Good, Jackson, Mich.; two brothers, Charles Michael Bushey, Knox, Ind.; and Herbert Henry Bushey, Conneaut.
On September 16, 1930, the deceased came to Risingsun as the wife of Frank Hollenbaugh, who survives. During her short life here she took active part in church work and several social activities including the Auxiliary. She was a good neighbor and her passing will be keenly felt by others outside of the family circle.
The body was brought to the Adams Funeral home and where it was prepared for burial and where funeral services were held on Monay afternoon, conducted by Rev. H.A. Garberson with burial in Fostoria cemetery.
Words Of Appreciation
Our thanks os expressed to all who in so many ways contributed to the comfort of our wife and mother during her illness, and assisted after her death so generously with labor, flowers, and words of comfort.
