LAYTON - Edith Green Anderson, beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on Monday, November 2, 1998 at the home of her daughter, following a long illness.
She was born May 11, 1915 in Wellsville, Utah, a daughter of Leroy and Elva Maughan Green.
On January 10, 1934, Edith married Ace W. Anderson in the Logan LDS Temple. They lived in Richmond and Logan before moving to Ogden where they resided for 62 years.
Edith was a member of the Ogden Memorial Park LDS Ward before moving to Layton. She worked at the Ogden Arsenal and Defense Depot.
Edith is survived by her husband, now living in Layton; her daughter, Joan (Ben) Jewkes, Layton; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, Seth (Edenia) Green, Stockton, California; two sisters, Beth (Lawrence) Goodsell, Newton, Utah; and Julia (Clyde) Ricks, Roy.
Edith was preceded in death by her son, Richard A. Anderson, two brothers, and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at the graveside on Friday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., with Bishop David B. Dabb officiating.
