Bradford "Brad" Martin Boyd, Jr., age 53 of Van Alstyne, TX passed away July 20, 2011 in Mabank, TX. He was born on December 9, 1957 in Alexandria, LA to Bradford Martin and Theresa (Taylor) Boyd, Sr. Brad was self-employed and a member of the Christian faith. He is survived by his mother, Theresa Tackett of Melissa, TX; wife, Carla Boyd of Gun Barrel City, TX; son, Brad "BB" Boyd of Gun Barrel City, TX; daughters, Monica Martinez of McKinney, TX and Bridgett Roundsavall of Gun Barrel City, TX; two brothers; three sisters; three granddaughters, McKenzie and Mattie Martinez, both of McKinney, TX and Skyler Roundsavall of Gun Barrel City, TX; uncle, Jimmy Boyd of Lake Whitney, TX; brother-in-law, Tex Gilson of Van Alstyne, TX. His father preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at the Flesher Funeral Home Chapel in Van Alstyne with Bro. Kelly Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow at the Van Alstyne Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday at Flesher Funeral Home.
