Decendents of BURNS, Francis Marion and Milchy of Etowah, Alabama

Relatives of Francis Marion & Milchy (née ASHLEY) BURNS family of Hokes Bluff, Etowah County, AL.F.M. & Milcha were born in the 96-District of SC, in 1813 & 1814 respectfully, and moved to newly opened territory of NE Alabama in 1845, along with members of her family the ASHLEY's.3 of their children (John B., Margaret J., & Peter S.) would then move even farther west upon reaching adulthood, in an area from Hopkins County, TX, to Bent County, CO, with the focal point becoming Indian Territory. They would loose Richard at seven months old, in Abbeville County, SC. And Sanford N. to the Civil War, at the Battle of Shiloh. Their 3 youngest children (Jane L., Mary L., and James M.) would remain in NE AL to make their homes.
