Kevin Connor is an educator and family historian based in Los Angeles, California. Also known as Omowale Jabali, he is the Curator of the 1492 Project which examines the impact of European settler colonialism on African and Native peoples in the New Workd. He is a Black Creek Freedman descendant of settlers from Black townships such as Boley, Taft, Blackdom and Vado.
