Bio
After teaching history for 34 years, I retired. After researching my families' genealogy, I started researching my local cemeteries. During the pandemic in the spring of 2020, I started writing a newspaper column entitled "If Headstones Could Talk." I started with one column a week for my local newspaper, Spearville, Kansas. People were receptive. One year later, I was writing a different column in four different counties in Kansas. I published my first book in January of 2021, and the second a year later.
Update: I have written four books with the "If Headstones Could Talk" title. The subtitles for each are: Ford County, Edwards County, and Hodgeman County which are all located in southwest Kansas.
Book #4 title - "If Headstones Could Talk Stories from the Early Days of Dodge City."
They can all be purchased at Amazon.
A HUGE THANKS for the contributors who print my stories.
