My hobbies include photography and genealogy which tie in perfectly with creating memorials for Find A Grave. Initially, I made memorials for my ancestors in reaction to losing 6 family members within 13 months. After that, I found it cathartic to take photos of headstones to post on other members' memorials that were lacking photos. Oftentimes, though, I would take photos only to discover there were no corresponding memorials. I then felt compelled to create some. I've also created some memorials using records I picked up in England while researching family. The way I contribute to FAG keeps evolving. I hope people find the memorials helpful. I also think it's important to honour and remember those who came before us. For those reasons I'll continue to take photos and create memorials.
