Bio

I'm a bit of a history buff. As I have no "blood" children, nieces or nephews - I tend to engage ancestry more than the prospect of descendants. I was left a treasure trove from my G-Great Aunt Bessie (paternal) that consisted of years of research into genealogy. Because of this, I see that I am descended from 4 Mayflower passengers. On the other side, I have a cousin that wrote a genealogy book, "History of Lowdermilk Family 'The Name of Lautermilche.'" Here I learned that my 5th Great Grandfather, Jacob Johann Laudermilch was the immigrant that came from Germany, and that he served in the German Battalion in NC during the American Revolution. That said, even as I am new to this site, I would be happy to try to help anyone wanting to explore their roots.
