Bio

My wife Jane and I were born in England. After we were married, we had six children, two of whom died in infancy. In 1839, I died, leaving my sweet wife with four small children to care for. A couple of years later, she married John Fisher. They had four children, two of whom died as infants. In 1849, the surviving family immigrated to America, most settled in Utah.

We also want to include the families of our siblings, William Hacking, Elizabeth Pearson Clark, Mary Ann Pearson Simmons and Thomas Y. Pearson.

Today, thousands of our descendants live in all parts of the world. Many of them knowing little or nothing of the noble heritage we wish to share with them. For this cause, the James 'n Jane Hacking Family Organization has been established.

This Find A Grave Contributor account was created to allow all our descendants with access to our account to be able to create, expand, and manage the family memorials regardless of the individual family member's health, or whether they have individual Find A Grave accounts or not. This will also allow additional options for linking additional family history resources together to make them much more accessible to our descendants.

If you are connected to our family, please let it be known to our organization.

With LOVE for our Forever Family,
James and Jane
