Bio

I have chosen to not forget those who have gone before me. Those I have known and loved and those I love but never knew. I choose to be the keeper of the history of my family, with any help they can give me - but if necessary I will be the appointed scribe. I am originally from SW Iowa. I currently live in central NE which is why I am able to fulfill the Fort McPherson requests - it's 33 miles away. I got into this because someone was kind enough to help me in my search for the monument and burial location of my great grandfather. I enjoy helping people and I especially enjoy Fort McPherson. I get very emotional when I go there - I am touched by the peaceful beauty of the location and all it means to all of us. My father was a flight engineer in New Guinea and we have tons of photos from that area. I am doing research for my family and my husband's family. The names are Driever, Jackson (two lines one being Quaker), Thatcher, Monroe, Steele, Husbands, Doty, Stitt, Moomaw and the list goes on and on. My family has been in this country since almost the beginning. I am very proud they fought in the Revolutionary War, the Civil War and my father in WWII. I am very patriotic. An anti-American should choose to not cross me.
