My name is Sharon Kay Earl Hite, the daughter of Ottis Marvin Earl (1907-1985) and Beulah Jones Earl (1911-2005) of Cullman, Alabama. I am researching both the Earl and Jones families, migrating mainly from North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. My Earl ancestors were instrumental in founding the town of Holly Pond in Cullman County, Alabama, after arriving from Earl, North Carolina. My Jones grandparents were from Social Circle and Between, Georgia, before marrying and migrating to Alabama. I have been working on genealogy off and on for about 20 years, spending more time on it now that I am retired.
