My mother began working on her family's genealogy when she retired. She's a great lady, but not the most computer savvy, so I started helping her with her research. Well, you can probably guess what happened next - it rubbed off and now I'M researching both sides of my family!

Thanks to the wonderful folks at F-A-G, I lucked into several breakthroughs on a few stubborn ancestors whose memorials had been posted; so I decided to become a contributor myself. I do the occasional photo request for local cemeteries as time permits (I live in the Western Philadelphia suburbs), and will generally photograph not just the requested stone but any others I find with the same last name nearby. I'm happy to make changes, updates, links, etc.; as in many cases I am no relation to the person whose memorial I've posted and have no info beyond what's found on the marker.

I am researching the following surnames; nearly all in Bedford, Somerset, Dauphin, and Lancaster Counties, PA:
Reasy, Long, Elicker, Berkheimer, Rice, Gebhard (or Gephard, Gephart, Gebhart, etc.), Copenhaver (or Coppenhaver, Coppenhafer, Koppenhafer, etc.), Flowers, Laemmel, Hoffman.
If that overlaps with anyone you're seeking, feel free to contact me to compare notes. My family tree can also be found on Ancestry.com. Some day I hope to identify the ancestor who contributed my 30% British Isles DNA - in a lineage of otherwise Swiss and German relatives!

Happy researching!
