Gardner - Mathew Stanley Morkavage, formerly of Princeton, died on September 29, 2012 after an illness. He was born in Worcester on Sept. 23, 1946, the son of Paul and Eva (Markunas) Morkavage. He leaves three brothers, John, Paul and Timothy and his wife Kathleen; three sisters, Pauline, Johanna Gallant and Eva Richard and her husband Leonce; four nieces and five great nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Peter. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War serving from 1961-1969 and was a member of the Mormon Church in Gardner. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012 at the Chapel of the Mass Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon. Following the service, all are welcome to greet the family at a reception at the Knights of Columbus, 110 S. Main St. Gardner, MA Caswell-King Funeral Home is directing arrangements.
