Lon was born to Emmett Maxie Goodman and Sallie Matthews. Countless people have told me that not only was Lon a "Goodman", but more importantly he was an exceptionally "good man". He moved from Hart County, KY to Louisville around 1929 and resided there until his death in 1967. In 1955 Lon purchased a 128 acre farm in Hart County on the same rural dirt road where he was born. He spent most of his weekends there for the remainder of his life. True to being born and raised in the country, his "heart" never left Hart County. He retired from Reynolds Metals in Louisville, KY and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
*1940 Census, Jefferson Co, KY.
