Sheri Williams Mower, age 42, a beloved wife, daughter, sister, and mother to four great children, passed away on October 18, 2004 after a battle with breast cancer. Sheri was born on December 15, 1961 to Robert and Clarice Williams in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the eldest of three children. She spent her early childhood in Salt Lake City and later moved with her family to Boise, Idaho. Sheri was an honor student at Capitol High School as well as a member of their award winning drill team. She attended Brigham Young University with two majors: one in English, the other in Marriage and Family Science. After graduating from BYU, Sheri worked in Washington, D.C. as a legislative assistant to a U.S. Senator from Idaho. She then served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Seoul West Mission in Seoul, Korea. Sheri cherished the time she spent sharing the gospel with the Korean people. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church and enjoyed her service in the Young Women and Primary Organizations. Sheri graduated from the University of Utah College of Law, where, thanks to her academic achievements, she was named to the Order of the Coif. She was an attorney with the law firm of Wood Crapo in Salt Lake City. Sheri met her future husband, Michael Mower, while they were both attending the University of Utah College of Law. They were married on Oct. 20, 1992 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Sheri and Michael are fortunate to have four wonderful children: Mallory, age 11; Christian, age 8; Mary Abigail (Abby), age 6; and Alex, age 5. She was known for her love of the holidays, the great family parties she hosted and her strong faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ. More than anything in the world, Sheri loved her children, family, friends and her faith. Sheri is survived by her husband and children; her father, Robert (Pam) Williams, Boise, ID; sister, Christy (Blake) Williams, Meridian, ID.; brother Eric, Meridian, ID; Aunt Blanche Stoll, Salt Lake City; and many loving in-laws and cousins. Preceded in death by her mother, Clarice Williams. The family extends a sincere thanks to the many extended family members and friends, medical personnel, members of the Lakeside First Ward, and the employees of the Wood Crapo law firm and the Provo City Mayor's Office who have done so much to assist Sheri and her family during her long illness. Your kindness and Christ like service will never be forgotten by Sheri's family. Funeral services held on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004 at the Provo Sunset Stake Center, 1560 S. 1100 W., Provo, Bishop John Bell conducting. Interment will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
