Dr. Thomas Gilmore Roberts, for the last year and half a resident of Davenport died at 1 o'clock this morning at his home, 1920 East Fourteenth street, after a lingering illness of six years' duration. His wife was formerly Miss Laura Winckler, well known here.
Dr. Roberts was born in Groton, Vermont, Oct. 18, 1850, and was a graduate of the Iowa State university and State university of Missouri at St. Louis. After practicing medicine for 15 years in Washington, he held the chair of pedeatrix in Hering Medical college, Chicago, for 23 years. Dr. Roberts was a member of the Universalist church.
Surviving besides his wife and a brother, Herman, of San Diego, Cal., are a number of more distant relatives.
The body was removed to the Horrigan & Son mortuary. Announcement of the hour and place of the funeral will be made later.

The funeral of Dr. Thomas G. Roberts was held Friday afternoon at 2:30 from the home, 1920 East Fourteenth street, to Oakdale cemetery, Rev. K. E. Evans officiating at both services.
Pallbearers were Carl J. Roberts, Otto F. Winkler (sic), Henry Vogel, Clifford Winkler (sic), Dr. Elliott Campbell and Dr. Karl Stephen.
