DIED—Last Saturday night, Paul, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Gabriel of Geneva, aged 2 years, 5 months and 5 days. It has only been a short time since we were on the train, returning from Exeter and Mr. and Mrs. Gabriel were on board with little Paul, their only child.

As he lay and slept, we looked at him, and we remember we were much impressed with his fine development and beauty. He seemed at that time to be in the most perfect health.

“Death loves a shining mark,” and the waiting angels delight to bear to the far away beautiful world such precious gems for the Master’s crown, and while the soft, sweet tones of the child-voice will be heard again and again, in fancy, through long and weary months to come, ever reminding the parent heart of its sad bereavement, still hope that reaches beyond the vale, and the healing that time will bring can only reconcile for a separation so sudden and unexpected, and a grief so deep.
