Ogden War I Vet Dies in Hospital

OGDEN—Dr, William Johnathan Browning, 83, World War I veteran, died Thursday at 9:07 a. m, in a Salt Lake hospital of natural causes.

Dr. Browning was born Feb. 18, 1883, in Ogden, & son of W. W. and Josephine Elmer Browning. He graduated from Ogden High School and later from Northwestern University school of medicine, Dr. Browning practiced in southcrn Utah for several years prior to World War I when he served overseas as a captain attached to the English forces, He has been ill much of the time since he returned from the servlce.

Survivors include a son, Mack Browning, Los Angeles, Cal.; a daughter, Mrs. Louise Stock, Fish Haven, Ida,; a brother, Dr, E. W. Browning, Salt Lake City; four sisters, Mrs. E. S. Wilson, Ogden; Mrs. Ardell Beltz, Los Angeles, Cal,; Mrs. Lula Bassett, San Louis Obispo, Cal. and Mrs. B. A. Wilson, Sunset, Davis County.
