YUMA: Willie Ben Gooch, 87, died Sunday March 4, at his home. Funeral services were Tuesday March 6, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Simon officiating. Burial followed in Clarksburg Cemetery.
Mr. Gooch was born August 23, 1919 in Yuma to the late Lem and Leva Jane (Pendergrass) Gooch. He was a retired farmer, a World War II Navy veteran, and a member of the Roans Creek Church of Christ. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Miller Gooch.
Survivors include: two sons, Bennie (Judy) Gooch, Danny (Marilyn) Gooch, both of Yuma; eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
