Mrs. A. Wilks, residing at 422 North Eddy street. . . Mrs. Wilks had been ailing for about a year and was in a despondent mood when she committed the act. . .
The Wilks family came to this city about a year ago from Greeley, Colo. They formerly lived at 712 West Eleventh street and later moved to their present residence. Some of the girls worked in the telephone office and other places, while Mr. Wilks did odd work in the farming line. Mrs. Wilks was 50 years of age. She is a sister to Mrs. Frank Winan, and besides her husband, leaves eight children to mourn her loss. They are Mrs. Walter Elliott, of Los Angeles, Cal.; Walter Wilks, of Eaton, Colo.; Ralph, Jennie, Ines, Eva, John and Ella Wilks, who reside in this city.
Coroner Baumann was notified of the case at once and on investigating found it to be a plain case of suicide. No inquest will be held. The funeral will probably take place next Wednesday afternoon. It will be announced definitely when the relatives from a distance are heard from.

Agnes Binderup was born in Denmark in the year 1863. She came to this country in 1874 and settled with her parents on a farm near Hastings. She was married to Lucus Wilkes on the 23rd day of August, 1886 (sic). She leaves to mourn her early death a husband, three sons, four daughters, an aged father, one sister and four brothers. She was laid to rest Jan. 28, 1914.
