Mrs. Heath was the sister of William F. Buckley, Jr. of Stamford, editor of The National Review and prominent political conservative.
She was the oldest child of the late William F. Buckley and Mrs. Buckley of Sharon, CT and Camden, SC. She was one of 10 children and the mother of 10 children.
She wrote for The National Review, Ladies Home Journal and Reader's Digest.
Mrs. Heath attended schools in Paris and London before studying at the Nightingale Bamford School in New York City. She graduated from Smith College in 1941 where she majored in English and wrote for the college's literary monthly and newspaper. She was a member of Alpha Phi Kappa Psi, the honorary literary society,
She married at Camden, SC in 1942 to Benjamin W. Heath, an aeronautical engineer who was then a lieutenant in the Air Corps.
She is survived by her husband, the president of Magellan Petroleum Corp. and Coastal Caribbean Oils & Minerals, Ltd. She also leaves her ten children, her mother, four sisters and four brothers.
